Nikon Contest – Win up to 500,000 yen
Nikon small world’s photomicrography contest is conducted every year for individuals with interests in photography. The contest ends on 13th February 2023. The theme of the contest is to take a picture or a video of anything through a microscope. This Nikon contest is open to anyone with interest in microscopy and photography through the microscope.
Recognized authorities in photomicrography and photography fields are the independent panel judges, who will be selecting the entries. Based on photo/video’s originality, informational content, technical proficiency, and visual impact, entries will be judged.

Steps to Participate in the Nikon Photo Contest

- Participants can register as a guest entrant to submit their photo/video.
- Participants can upload up to three photomicrographic digital images to the entry in any of the interested categories mentioned below.

Photo Contest Guidelines and Restrictions
To participate in the Nikon contest, entrants should follow the official rules and restrictions given below.
Submission Guidelines
- Only original works are considered valid entries.
- Works posted from participants personal blogs or social media can be entered.
- Works used as contest entries for other contests are not considered eligible.
- Multiple entries are accepted within this limit.
Photo Guidelines
- Medium of images files includes medium and large-format digital cameras.
- Image entries from both colors and monochrome images are accepted.
- File size should be up to 20 MB of image data per work.
- File format: JPEG/150 dpi or recommended.
- Standard color space: sRGB
Submission Guidelines
- Only original works are considered valid entries.
- Only one video may be submitted.
- No plagiarized, third-party owned works are not considered a valid entry.
Video Guidelines
- Video work with a length of 180 to 300 seconds (Short Film Category) or a length of 20 to 40 seconds (Super Short Film Category).
- Any video-recording device may be used.
- File size: up to 600 MB of video data per work.
- Winners might be asked to provide a higher resolution video.
- Film can be of any any language (English language subtitle is must).
